Iman Brotoseno Resigns as TVRI President Director

JAKARTA - A recording of a meeting via the online application (Zoom) TVRI circulated in several groups including the Indonesian Film Demi Film Indonesia on Monday, February 23, 2026 morning. In the meeting, the voice of Iman Brotoseno as the CEO of TVRI was heard clearly. He said goodbye and announced his resignation from his position as President Director of TVRI.

"This news is indeed very surprising. I have discussed this with my family and also with the TVRI Supervisory Board. Separation is a small death, the French say," he said in a flat tone.

He continued that one day he might meet his TVRI friends again. "Maybe one day I will meet again in a new space, in another dimension," he continued.

TVRI World Class and World Cup

Iman hopes that after he is no longer on TVRI, one day the broadcasting institution can become a world-class television. "I hope TVRI can become a world-class TV," he said.

He also expressed his regret that he could not watch the World Cup with his colleagues at TVRI. "One thing I regret, I can't watch (watch together) the World Cup with Mr. and Mrs.," he said.
