ACEH - The Aceh Police have accelerated the construction of a bailey bridge to open transportation access for 7,000 residents affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Lhok Cut Village, Sawang District, North Aceh Regency.
Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Joko Krisdiyanto, said that the bailey bridge that was built became an access for the community to access towards urban areas and the center of government.
"The construction of this bailey bridge assistance from the National Police Chief is being rushed to meet the transportation access needs of the Lhok Cut Village community, which is estimated to number around 7,000 people," he said in Banda Aceh, Antara, Sunday, February 22.
According to Joko Krisdiyanto, the presence of the National Police in the construction of the bailey bridge is a form of concern and solution for people affected by hydrometeorological disasters at the end of November 2025.
He said the construction of the bailey bridge was the attention of the Aceh Police Chief Inspector General of Police Marzuki Ali Basyah. Previously, the Aceh Police Chief together with a number of key officials of the Aceh Police had reviewed the construction of the bridge.
"The bailey bridge is needed by the community to support daily activities, both for educational purposes and to distribute and sell agricultural products to urban areas," he said.
The middle-ranking officer of the Aceh Police hopes that the bailey bridge construction can be completed soon, so that community activities can recover and run normally after the disaster.
"The presence of the bailey bridge is expected to be able to facilitate the mobility of residents as well as support the recovery of the community's economy after the hydrometeorological disaster that hit the area," said Joko Krisdiyanto.
