BULELENG - Polres Buleleng, Bali, secured dozens of motorbikes involved in illegal racing in two locations.

"Based on the results of the action taken by the Buleleng Police, they have succeeded in securing the illegal races that took place in two locations," said Head of Public Relations of the Buleleng Police, Bali, Iptu Gede Sumarjaya, Wednesday, June 2.

The first incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, May 28. At that time there was a wild race on Jalan Samratulangi, Penarukan Terminal, Buleleng. The illegal riders and jockeys were arrested along with 9 motorbikes.

"From the results of the examination conducted, it was found that the bet money was Rp. 548,000. Meanwhile, the other motorists were given a ticket, in accordance with the completeness of the vehicle and individual equipment," he added

While the second raid was carried out on Tuesday, June 1 in the morning. The illegal racing raid was carried out on Jalan Raya Pemaron, to be precise at the Learning Activity Center (SKB) Buleleng.

Dozens of motorbikes were confiscated. There was also a pickup truck secured by the police.

"The racing activity will use a bet of Rp. 500,000 and the bet money is taken away by the jockey who ran away," he said.

During the raid, a total of 26 motorcycles were confiscated. 12 motorbikes were brought with their owners, while 14 motorbikes were left at the illegal racing site.

"Against the tracks, a process will be carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions," said Sumarjaya.
