Police Investigate Nine Witnesses in the Shooting of the Husband of a Central Java DPRD Member in Pekalongan

Pekalongan - The Pekalongan Police have examined nine witnesses to uncover the shooting case against Amat Muzakhim (56), husband of Member of the Central Java DPRD Nur Fatwah. The incident was allegedly carried out by an unknown person on Saturday, February 14 night.

The Pekalongan Police Chief, AKBP Rachmad C. Yusuf, said that the examination was carried out intensively by the investigation team.

"The investigation team from the Pekalongan Police and the Central Java Police Criminal Investigation Unit have examined the witnesses on the ground. There are approximately 9 witnesses that we have examined in a marathon and it has been completed," he said in Pekalongan, Tuesday, February 17.

In addition to examining witnesses, including the victim, investigators also collected and analyzed surveillance camera footage around the scene of the crime. Based on the preliminary results, the perpetrator is suspected of having mastered the situation before launching the action.

"From the several CCTV recordings that we collected and the results of the analysis, the perpetrator after the location of the incident immediately moved north," he said.

The police assessed that the perpetrator had previously mapped and analyzed the field. In the CCTV footage, the perpetrator was seen using a motorcycle and had turned around around the location before shooting and leaving the crime scene.

Regarding the evidence, the police found projectiles at the scene. Currently, the evidence is still in the process of being examined by the Central Java Police through the Forensic Laboratory Unit.

"Meanwhile, for the projectiles we found at the crime scene, we are still conducting analysis by Bidlabfor Polda Jateng," said the Police Chief.

He explained that the projectile was made of lead and indicated that it came from a firearm, both a kit and a revolver. However, the certainty of the type of weapon is still pending the results of laboratory tests.

To anticipate potential security disturbances and provide a sense of security to the victims and their families, the police have placed personnel on guard at the victim's home.

The police ensured that the investigation process was carried out professionally and transparently. Until now, the identity of the perpetrator is still being investigated by the Resmob team and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Java Police.
