TNI AU Receives 2 New T50i Training Combat Aircraft from South Korea

JAKARTA - The Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, said the TNI AU had received two T-50i aircraft units sent via air cargo from South Korea.

The fighter trainer aircraft is also in the process of being assembled at Iswahjudi Air Base, Madiun, East Java.

According to Rico, the arrival of these two aircraft is part of six new T50i aircraft purchased by the Ministry of Defense from South Korea.

He also responded to several viral videos on social media about the process of sending the T50i fighter training aircraft which was sent using a transport truck to the airport.

In the video, several trucks can be seen carrying parts of the plane separately such as parts of the plane covered with black cloth.

According to Rico, the delivery method is in accordance with the applicable standards and will not reduce the quality and function of the aircraft.

"We emphasize that all logistics and transfer processes of military equipment are carried out through official, safe, and in accordance with applicable regulations," said Rico, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 13.

With the arrival of the two T50i units, he ensured that Indonesia's air defense force was stronger in the hands of the Indonesian Air Force.
