KSPSI Affiliates with FSPPI Fight for Regulation to Protect Workers with Dignity

JAKARTA - The General Chairman of the Indonesian Aviation Workers Federation FSPPI, Jemmy J. Pongoh, stated that the decision to affiliate with the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers (KSPSI), is a strategic step based on a common vision and direction of struggle.

He assessed that the consolidation of aviation sector workers into one line of a strong and organized national labor movement was an urgent need, given that the aviation industry is a strategic national sector that supports the connectivity of the island nation and economic integration.

According to Jemmy, this affiliation is not merely an administrative decision of the organization, but an ideological and strategic choice. FSPPI assesses that the leadership of KSPSI under Jumhur Hidayat has consistently advocated for more just labor regulations, the protection of dignified workers, and the promotion of constructive social dialogue.

He emphasized that FSPPI continues to prioritize a professional and solution-oriented approach in advocating for the interests of its members. Aviation safety, he said, is the top priority that cannot be negotiated, because workers have an important role as guardians of safety standards as well as industry sustainability.

FSPPI also believes that the welfare and protection of workers are in line with strengthening the competitiveness of the national aviation industry. Through mature social dialogue and policies that are in the national interest, labor protection and industry growth are considered to go hand in hand.

The synergy between FSPPI and KSPSI was declared on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta. Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, was present at the event and also opened the KSPSI Working Meeting (Raker).
