Handle the Pothole Road, DKI Provincial Government Will Add PJLP Bina Marga

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo admitted that the number of Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP) of the Road Construction Agency is still insufficient to handle potholes throughout the capital city.

"Bina Marga now only has about 750 PJLP and is very lacking. If it is then divided into five cities and one district, it is very lacking," said Pramono when he was met in the West Jakarta area, Thursday, February 12.

For this reason, Pramono agreed that the PJLP of the Road Construction Agency would be added to help handle Jakarta's potholes.

Regarding the number of new members needed, Pramono said that it was in the calculation phase by the Road Construction Service.

Later, the Department of Road Construction will determine it together with the Assistant for Development and the Regional Secretary (Sekda).

"For the PJLP, the number will be decided later, but indeed in the meeting I have agreed to add the PJLP Bina Marga," said Pramono.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Road Construction Service patched 1,725 damaged road points in the West Jakarta (Jakbar) area in the early 2026 period.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) Siti Dinar Wenny said the road repair was carried out in two stages, namely from January 1 to February 2, 2026.

"The first phase, namely from January 1-26, 2026, as many as 1,296 points have been handled. The next road repair we have from January 27 to February 2, 2026, as many as 429 points have been repaired," said Wenny when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta, Friday (6/2).

Until now, he said, the repair of damaged roads continues to be carried out gradually, according to reports and reviews by officers.

"The Road Construction Service apologizes to road users for the inconvenience on the road. We continue to monitor and repair road damage immediately to prevent accidents," said Wenny.
