JAKARTA - Former Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Saut Situmorang congratulated thousands of KPK employees who have now officially become State Civil Apparatus (ASN). He asked the employees to maintain the values contained in the anti-corruption commission.

"Be a civil servant plus, plus, plus. Keep maintaining and planting, develop the nine values that we have known at the KPK, namely honesty, caring, independence, responsibility, hard work, simple, courageous, and fair," said Saut in a written statement. told reporters quoted Wednesday, June 2.

He also reminded these thousands of employees that they must continue to eradicate corruption as a step to clean up the country. Not only that, Saut said, employees are also reminded to continue to carry out checks and balances in the internal anti-corruption commission.

Furthermore, Saut also advised the 75 KPK employees who were declared not to have passed the National Insight Test (TWK) and were not appointed to stay motivated. He asked these dozens of employees to be sure that they would still be appointed as ASN through a Presidential Decree (Keppres).

"Keep the spirit in the remaining time to later be appointed with the Presidential Decree," said Saut.

"If it's not possible in the current government era, the next government will lift it, it's easy with a Presidential Decree," he added.

Previously reported, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri officially inaugurated 1,271 employees who had passed the national insight test (TWK) as employees of the state civil apparatus (ASN). A total of 53 employees were appointed in the room. Meanwhile, the rest took part in the online inauguration to maintain health protocols.

The inauguration began with the reading of the Presidential Decree No. 87/TPA of 2021 concerning middle high leadership positions within the KPK setting the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya Hardianto Harefa and the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan as civil servants.

Meanwhile, 75 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK were not sworn in. In fact, 51 of them will be fired because they get red points from TWK assessors.

While the other 24 employees can still become ASN but must follow state defense education and national insight. Even so, they may also be fired if they are declared not to have passed the education process.

As for the 75 employees who were declared unsuccessful, including investigators Novel Baswedan, Ambarita Damanik, Harun Al Rasyid, as well as the Chairperson of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo Harahap.
