PADANG - The police confiscated 7.9 kilograms of methamphetamine drugs that were to be smuggled to Java through the Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) Padangpariaman, West Sumatra (Sumbar) on Monday (12/1).

The suspects, each with the initials KSG (30) from Langsa City, AS (27) from Aceh Tamiang, RA (22) from North Aceh, and M (22) from East Aceh.
They are suspected of carrying methamphetamine from Aceh through the land route before trying to continue the air journey from BIM to Java Island.
Faisol explained that the mode used by the perpetrator was to put prohibited items into the suitcase, then wrap it with aluminum foil in the hope that it would not be detected by the scanner.
