Musrembang Three Sub-districts Emphasize Economy Based on Local Potential

TANAH LAUT, KAL SEL - The Tanah Laut Regency Government (Pemkab Tala), South Kalimantan, held a sub-district level Development Planning Consultation (Musrenbang) for the Jorong, Kintap, and Batu Ampar sub-districts, where in the activity it emphasized the economy based on local potential.

This activity is part of the stage of preparing the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of Tanah Laut Regency 2027 with the theme "Strengthening Superior Human Resources and Competitiveness and Increasing Economic Growth through the Flagship Sector".

Assistant to the Government and People's Welfare of the South Kalimantan Regional Secretariat Akhmad Hairin in Pelaihari, Tala Regency, Saturday said that the sub-district Musrenbang was a strategic and mandatory stage in regional development planning because it involved all stakeholders and the community directly.

The Regent of Tanah Laut H Rahmat Trianto in his remarks emphasized the importance of the deliberation forum as a means of agreeing on the direction of development that is in accordance with the real needs of the community.

According to him, the limitations of budget, human resources, and time require local governments and the community to determine the scale of priority development carefully and accurately.

"The regional government, he continued, has set human resource development as one of the focus of the regional development flagship program.

Furthermore, he said, one of the policies that was encouraged was the program of one village, one graduate of higher education, which was adjusted to the potential and needs of each village and sub-district.

In addition to human resource development, regional economic growth is also a major concern, especially in the Jorong, Kintap, and Batu Ampar areas which have the potential for mining, plantation, and various community economic activities.

The regional government encourages that every development activity and the implementation of activities can be directly linked to the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the people's economy.

The Musrenbang was attended by members of the Tanah Laut Regency DPRD, the ranks of heads of regional apparatus work units (SKPD), Jorong, Kintap, and Batu Ampar sub-district heads, elements of Forkopimcam, village heads, BPD, community leaders, religious leaders, and stakeholders from three sub-districts.
