PPP Bengkulu is divided, 8 DPC consider Muswil not in accordance with party administration

JAKARTA - The internal management of the Regional Leadership Council (DPC) of the United Development Party (PPP) in Bengkulu Province is shaken. A total of eight PPP DPCs in Bengkulu decided to reject the 2026 PPP Bengkulu X Regional Meeting (Muswil).

The Chairman of the DPC of the Bengkulu Tengah Regency PPP, Fepi Suheri, assessed that the leadership duality in the central leadership resulted in the muswil order not being in accordance with the party's rules.

"We ensure that we will not attend the muswil because its implementation is not in accordance with the administration of a legitimate party," he said in Bengkulu, Thursday, quoted by Antara.

The statement was made at a meeting attended by a number of DPC chairmen and secretaries, or 8 out of 10 DPCs in Bengkulu. They confirmed the common attitude regarding the implementation of the Bengkulu PPP DPW muswil on February 5, 2026.

The DPC managers said the confusion at the regional level arose due to leadership issues at the central level. This condition is considered to make the DPC in a difficult position in determining the attitude towards the party's organizational agenda.

As part of the party structure, the DPC emphasized that it remained committed to complying with the party's constitution and budget as well as organizational regulations. However, they questioned the direction of the loyalty of cadres in the midst of the internal conflict that occurred.

The majority of the DPC who attended confirmed that they would only be subject to and loyal to the United Development Party institutionally, not to one of the camps. They only recognize the leadership of the general chairman and secretary-general based on the Decree of the Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia 6 October 2025.

The DPC of the Bengkulu PPP also stated that it would only attend the muswil if the order for its implementation was signed simultaneously by the general chairman and the general secretary within the framework of a legitimate party administration. They emphasized that they did not reject the muswil, but wanted its implementation to be in accordance with the organization's rules.

In addition, the managers asked the party elite to present a cool atmosphere and full of togetherness so as not to cause confusion at the grassroots level. They hope that no party will claim to be the most correct in the party's internal conflict.

Fepi emphasized that this attitude was not a form of partiality to one party, but a manifestation of compliance with legally valid management and organization. He also expressed the hope that the PPP would return to focus on moving and doing for the nation in accordance with the original purpose of the party's establishment.
