JAKARTA - Palestinians are flocking back to the Gaza Strip, with residents taking part in the second wave of repatriations arriving at the Rafah crossing point on Tuesday to undergo border crossing procedures.

As reported by ANTARA, the Egyptian media report Al Qahera News, said the Palestinian returned to Gaza after receiving medical and health care at an Egyptian hospital.

The report said those returning needed to complete administrative procedures at the Rafah crossing point before they could return to Gaza.

The return was made a day after the Rafah crossing point was partially opened on Monday local time.

Meanwhile, Israeli Zionist media reported that a total of 50 Palestinians are expected to enter Gaza, while about 150 people and their companions are scheduled to leave Gaza to receive medical treatment in Egypt.

Gaza health authorities also estimated that there were nearly 22,000 patients in Gaza waiting for the full opening of the Rafah border.

The Rafah border crossing, which is crucial for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, was seized by Israel in May 2024, about nine months after the Zionist forces launched a brutal massive military offensive into the enclave.

The aggression has killed more than 71,000 people and injured more than 171,000 others since October 2023.

The Rafah border crossing should be opened in October 2025, as the first phase of the agreed ceasefire. However, the Zionists refused to open it until they received the last body of an Israeli hostage in Gaza, which was handed over last week.

Even though the ceasefire is still in place, the Israeli military has not stopped attacking Gaza. According to the Gaza media office, 524 Gazans have been killed and 1,360 others have been injured by Israeli attacks since October 10, 2025.
