JAKARTA - The progress of the physical construction of the Vice President's Palace building in the Capital of Nusantara (IKN) in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, has reached 100 percent.

The Vice Presidential Palace at IKN occupies a land area of 148,417 square meters, a building area of 32,061 square meters, and a contract value of approximately IDR 1.457 trillion.

The architecture of the Vice Presidential Palace at IKN carries the concept of "huma betang umai", which is the Dayak language, the native tribe in East Kalimantan, which means mother as a caregiver, protector, giver, and caretaker.

The orientation of the building follows the direction of the sun's west and east axes, which can reduce heating in buildings, which reduces the energy of the building's cooling.
