JAKARTA - The wife of the late General (Ret.) Hoegeng Iman Santoso, Meriyati Hoegeng Roeslani, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Eyang Meri, as he is called, died at the age of 100.

This sad news was confirmed by the Head of the Bhayangkara Police Hospital, Brigjen Pol. Prima Heru Yulihartono. He said, Meriyati breathed his last at 13.24 WIB after undergoing treatment for illness.

"Innalillahi wa innailaihi raji'un has died, Mrs. Meryati Hoegeng (100 years). On Tuesday, February 3, 2026. At 13.24 WIB due to illness," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The body was interred at the Pesona Khayangan Estate funeral home, Mekarjaya, Depok. According to the plan, the deceased will be buried at the Giri Tama Cemetery Park, Tonjong, Bogor, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 afternoon
