JAKARTA - A total of 34 members of the National Police who were proven to have committed serious violations were given strict sanctions in the form of dismissal without honor (PTDH) by the Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulteng).

"The firm action in the form of PTDH was imposed because the person concerned can no longer be trained," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Djoko Wienartono, in a written statement, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, January 1, 2026.

The decision is contained in the Central Sulawesi Police Chief's Decree Number Kep/2/I/2026/Khirdin dated January 30, 2026 regarding the Dismissal Without Honor from the Police Service, as well as the Central Sulawesi Police Chief's Decree Number Kep/3/I/2026/Khirdin dated January 30, 2026.

He said that as many as 34 personnel from the Sulteng Police were officially dismissed from the police service after undergoing the examination and disciplinary hearing process for the police profession.

The imposition of PTDH sanctions is carried out in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations applicable in the Polri environment.

"The violation of the police code of ethics is considered serious, so the leadership must take firm action," he said.

According to him, the decision is a form of commitment by the Sulteng Police in enforcing discipline as well as maintaining the dignity and professionalism of the police institution.

He said that the violations committed by the personnel were considered to have damaged the institution's good name and were not in line with the values of Tribrata and Catur Prasetya as guidelines for life and ethics of the police officers.

Furthermore, he said that enforcing internal discipline was part of the effort to reform the bureaucracy of the National Police to create a professional, modern, and trusted police force.

The Sulteng Police also continue to remind all personnel to always carry out their duties with full responsibility, uphold professional ethics, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
