Involved in the Circulation of Opium, Members of the Bima City Police and Wife Arrested

West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) arrested a member of the Bima City Police (Polres) with the initials Bripka K alias Karol with his wife with the initials N for alleged involvement in the case of the circulation of methamphetamine.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Police Commissioner General Mohammad Kholid, confirmed the drug case involving the Bima City Police.

"Yes, the case is handled by the Narcotics Investigation Directorate," he said in Mataram, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.

He explained that his party followed up on the arrest by securing the two at the NTB Police Headquarters.

Regarding the chronology of the arrest and the evidence seized, Kholid admitted that he had not received any further information from the NTB Police Narcotics Directorate.

Likewise with the involvement of other people, he emphasized that this case is still in the process of development and examination.

"It is still under development, later what the results will be, we will convey," he said.

According to information, Bripka K and his wife were arrested in the Dompu area on Monday (26/1) morning at around 03.00 Wita.

From the arrest, the police confiscated evidence of white crystalline powder suspected of being methamphetamine with a gross weight of 35 grams and cash of Rp88.8 million.

This arrest was part of the follow-up to public information that said Bripka K's house in Bima City was often a location for drug transactions.

The police had raided Bripka K's house, but it was fruitless. The two were not found at home.

However, from the results of developing information, the police found the presence of Bripka K with his wife in Dompu.

The results of the search then yielded results, both of whom were arrested in Dompu with evidence of drugs and cash allegedly the result of the transaction.
