JAKARTA - The government encourages the expansion of the realization of the Indonesiana Fund in 2026 by strengthening socialization, assistance, and sharpening the funding scheme based on the Permanent Fund for Culture. The agenda was discussed by the Ministry of Culture in a working meeting with Commission X of the DPR RI, Wednesday (21/1).
Throughout 2025, Dana Indonesiana disbursed funding of IDR 383.68 billion to 2,843 beneficiaries. This program reaches 433 cultural communities, 248 cultural institutions, and 2,163 individual recipients through six main schemes, ranging from documentation of maestro knowledge to the utilization of public spaces.
Public participation has increased significantly. A total of 6,431 proposals were received from 36 provinces, jumping 200.53 percent compared to 2024. Since 2022-2024, the total funding for the Indonesian Fund has reached IDR 492.6 billion for 929 beneficiaries.
Minister of Culture Fadli Zon emphasized that the management mechanism of the Indonesiana Fund has been clearly regulated in Presidential Decree Number 111 of 2021. "LPDP manages the development of funds, the Ministry of Culture determines the activities and beneficiaries, while the disbursement of the budget is under the authority of the Ministry of Finance," said Fadli. According to him, this scheme ensures that governance runs professionally and accountable.
Entering 2026, the Indonesian Fund will undergo policy transformation, including rebranding programs, strengthening curation and affirmation to be in line with national priorities, increasing the role of 30 Cultural Preservation Centers and three regional offices in selecting recipients, and developing new service applications to accelerate the process transparently.
Dana Indonesiana also expands support for the national film ecosystem as well as strengthening the sustainability of Intangible Cultural Heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO, such as Wayang, Batik, Angklung, and Gamelan. The government emphasizes that the Cultural Endowment will continue to be maintained for sustainability so that the benefits are felt across generations.
