JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has examined the Head of the Legal and Security Agency of the Democratic Party's Central Leadership Council Muhajir as the reporter in the case of the dissemination of hoax content about the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) on social media.
HM Rusdi as the lawyer for the reporter, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, said that investigators asked 28 questions to his client during the examination conducted at the Polda Metro Jaya.
"The examination material revolves around the alleged spread of false news by a number of social media accounts," he said.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, when asked for confirmation, said that after examining the reporter, investigators would call other witnesses related to the case of spreading hoaxes about SBY.
"The schedule for the examination will still be communicated further," he said.
The Democratic Party previously reported a number of YouTube accounts that were suspected of spreading hoax content about SBY to the Polda Metro Jaya following the upload of several social media accounts on December 30, 2025 which were considered to contain false news.
The social media accounts reported include the YouTube accounts @AGRI FANANI, @Bang bOy YTN, and @Kajian Online as well as the TikTok account @sudirowibudhiusmp.
