JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta targets an increase in the number of passengers on the Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI line by 2026. This target is in line with efforts to improve services and the continuation of the construction of MRT phase 2 towards the northern area of Jakarta.
MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat said that by 2025 MRT Jakarta had served 46.5 million customers. The average daily passenger count was recorded at more than 127,000 people per day.
In 2026, MRT Jakarta targets a significant increase in the number of users to 50 million customers in one year.
"This year, in 2026, we are determined to increase from the previous 127 to 137 customers per day or close to 50 million customers per year," said Tuhiyat at the groundbreaking entrance of the Harmoni MRT Station, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 20.
Tuhiyat explained that the target was inseparable from the mandate given by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to MRT Jakarta, one of which was to continue the construction of MRT phase 2 which connects the city center to the Old City area.
He explained the progress of the MRT phase 2A development until 2025, especially for the CP 202 contract package which has reached 61 percent.
"The progress in 2025 for CP 202 in particular, it is 61 percent, while the Harmoni Station itself is 56 percent," he said.
According to Tuhiyat, the Harmony area will be developed as the main entrance to the MRT which is integrated with other modes of transportation. The development includes the construction of entrances, cooling towers, and ventilation towers in the Duta Merlin area.
"Our operational target is targeted to continue 2029 from Harmony to the City, while in 2027 it continues from HI Roundabout to Monas Station," said Tuhiyat.
Tuhiyat also explained the general overview of Harmoni Station which will be one of the important stations on the north line of the Jakarta MRT. Later, Harmoni Station has a length of 252 meters, and a width of 18 meters with a depth of 17 meters.
"There are seven entrances. Two on the west side, two on the east side, and in the middle it is integrated with the Transjakarta bus stop which we have also prepared, there are three, integrated," said Tuhiyat.
Meanwhile, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung emphasized that the Harmony area will become an important transportation node because it is integrated with the MRT and Transjakarta. He said, the MRT line to Monas is targeted to be completed and operational in 2027.
"I believe that this Harmony will be a TOD that will definitely be crowded, a station that is very crowded because it will become a business center and at the same time a place to mobilize people who work in government offices," said Pramono.
"I believe that in 2029 this TOD Harmoni will be completed, then this will be a very strategic TOD because what is first the government offices are many around here," he said.
