JAKARTA - A total of 24 villages/gampongs in Central Aceh Regency are still isolated because access to the area was cut off due to flash floods and landslides that hit the area on November 26, 2025, said the Spokesperson for the Aceh Flood and Landslide Disaster Management Post, Murthalamuddin.
"According to data provided by the Central Aceh Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), it is recorded that the isolated areas are spread across Bintang, Ketol, Silih Nara, Rusip Antara, and Linge Districts. The government is also continuing to work to open access," said Murthalamuddindilansir ANTARA, Thursday, January 15.
He explained that in Bintang District there was one village that was still isolated, namely Serule Village with a total number of affected residents of 582 people.
Access to the village has not been able to be passed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles due to landslides on the road.
Furthermore, Ketol District became the region with the most isolated villages. The affected villages include Bergang, Karang Ampar, Pantan Reduk, Serempah, Bah, Bintang Pepara, Buge Ara, Kekuyang, and Burlah, with a total affected population of 4,951 people.
"The area there is isolated because the bridge is broken and the landslide closes the road," he said.
According to him, some villages have started to be able to be passed by two-wheeled vehicles such as Serempah and Bah villages, but four-wheel access is still not able to pass.
In Silih Nara District, there are two villages that are still isolated, namely Terang Engon and Bius Utama Village Hanging Sky, with a total of 254 affected people.
"Access to the two villages cannot be passed through either on two or four wheels due to the broken Mulie bridge and the Langit Hanging bridge," he said.
Meanwhile, in the Rusip Antara District, there are five villages that are still isolated, namely Pilar Jaya, Pilar Weh Kiri, Tirmiara, Mekar Maju, and Arul Pertik, with a total of 2,765 affected residents.
Murthalamuddin said that access to two-wheeled vehicles to a number of villages has begun to open, but four-wheeled vehicles are still unable to pass due to landslides and the collapse of a number of bridges in the area.
The last district that is still isolated is in Linge District. In this area, the villages that are still isolated are Linge, Kute Reje, Delung Sekinel, Jamat, Reje Payung, Penarun, and Umang, with a total population affected reaching 2,362 people.
According to him, the isolation in the area was caused by the broken Kala Ili Bridge and landslides at several road points.
"Access for two-wheeled vehicles can only go to Penarun and Umang Villages, for four-wheeled vehicles it is still not possible to pass through," he said.
Murthalamuddin said the government continues to strive to accelerate emergency handling and restoration of access to isolated areas, including through the opening of temporary land routes and handling of infrastructure damaged by disasters.
"Efforts to handle it continue to be carried out gradually so that public access returns to normal, especially in villages that are still isolated," said Murthalamuddin.
