JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mohammad Irfan Yusuf reviewed the activities of prospective Hajj Service Officers (PPIH) 1447 H/2026 M who are currently undergoing education and training (diklat) at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta.

The review was carried out to see directly the readiness, discipline and discipline training pattern of Hajj officers from the beginning of daily activities.

"Becoming a PPIH means being ready to undergo the process, including accepting the dynamics of service with an open-minded and responsible attitude. All of this is part of dedication," said Menhaj as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 14.

Menhaj emphasized that the formation of character and work ethic begins with basic things in daily life during training.

During the review, Menhaj saw the series of activities of the morning training participants, ranging from the apel, class preparation, to the support services received by the training participants.

He assessed that the regularity of activities and adequate facility support are important parts of preparing professional and ethical Hajj officers.

The man who is familiarly called Gus Irfan also reminded that PPIH is the face of the country as well as a representation of service to God's guests. Therefore, every officer is required to be able to behave wisely, place greater interests above personal interests, and maintain the dignity of the institution in every action.

In the context of the era of information openness, Menhaj emphasized the importance of discretion in responding to various situations during the preparation and implementation of the hajj.

He invited all PPIH to prioritize responsible, proportional, and community-oriented communication.

"Not all things must be dealt with reactively. Hajj officers are required to be able to sort, filter, and deliver information appropriately, so as not to cause misinterpretation, and still maintain public trust," said Menhaj.

Menhaj emphasized that professionalism, maturity in communication, and sincerity in serving are an inseparable unity from the duties of PPIH as servants of the pilgrims.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is committed to continue to strengthen the training of PPIH, both in terms of competence, welfare, and service ethics, in order to realize the implementation of a safe, orderly, and dignified hajj.
