Prabowo Checks the State Palace at IKN and the Location of the TN High School Construction

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto during his working visit to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan, reviewed the State Palace building which is located in the Center of Government (KIPP) IKN, then continued to look at the location of the construction of the Taruna Nusantara High School.

During the inspection, President Prabowo was accompanied by the Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono.

"I accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo, on his working visit to the Nusantara Capital as a confirmation of the government's commitment to safeguarding the sustainability of Nusantara as a National Strategic Project," said Basuki Hadimuljono as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 13.

"In this series of visits, the President of the Republic of Indonesia reviewed the Taruna Nusantara High School area as a manifestation of the state's attention to strengthening education, and the character development of the younger generation. The President then continued his visit to the State Palace to see firsthand the readiness of infrastructure, as well as the governance of the government that will be held in Nusantara," continued Basuki.

The Head of OIKN believes that President Prabowo's working visit to IKN on January 12-13, 2026 shows the strong commitment of the government in ensuring that the acceleration of the development of Nusantara goes as entrusted in Presidential Regulation Number 79 of 2025.

In his official social media account @basukihadimuljono, Basuki shared a number of photos, including a photo of President Prabowo with a number of OIKN officials, then a photo of the presidential car Maung Garuda driving across the IKN Core Area road, and a photo of Basuki delivering President Prabowo at the helipad.

On a separate occasion, the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the Spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, explained that President Prabowo since the beginning of his leadership has emphasized accelerating the development of IKN.

"Mr. President has indeed emphasized from the beginning to accelerate the process of building facilities that will be used for legislation and the judiciary, which hopefully can be completed in 2028," said Prasetyo Hadi.

IKN is President Prabowo's final destination in a series of working visits to Kalimantan. At IKN, President Prabowo stayed overnight at a five-star hotel in the core area of the Nusantara Capital City.

The entourage of ministers who accompanied President Prabowo at the IKN included Minister of Home Affairs Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Head of the Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo.
