JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the condition of waterlogging and flooding in several areas of East Jakarta due to heavy rain on Monday, January 12, 2026, had receded.

"Update until 20.00 WIB yesterday, most of the puddles were dry. However, there are still several locations with quite high puddles," said Head of the Task Force Coordinator for the East Jakarta BPBD Region Ali Kojim, Tuesday.

Waterlogging and flooding were recorded at 15 points spread across several sub-districts in the East Jakarta area.

Ali detailed that in the Lubang Buaya Village area, Cipayung District, puddles had occurred on Pelita Street and Masjid Albariyah Street with a height of 20 centimeters (cm) on Monday morning. However, the puddles in both locations have receded and are declared dry during the day.

Meanwhile, in Cakung District, flooding on Kramayuda Street, Petukangan Village, Rawa Terate, reached a maximum height of 50 cm during the day and evening before finally receding and drying at 17.00 WIB.

Significant flooding also occurred in Kramat Jati District, especially in Cawang and Cililitan Villages.

Then, on Jalan Taman Harapan and Jalan Raya Kalibata Gang Haji Maliki, the water level reached 80 cm at 15.00 WIB before gradually receding and drying up at night.

Meanwhile, on Jalan Musholla Al-Hikmah and Jalan Seruni, Cililitan Village, the flood reached a height of 70 cm before receding completely.

The highest waterlogged area was recorded in the Kampung Melayu area, Jatinegara District, namely on Jalan Kebon Pala II, with a flood height of 100 cm or one meter at 15.00 to 16.00 WIB.

As of 20.00 WIB, the puddle at the location was still about 50 cm.

In addition, standing water is still monitored in Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara District, specifically on Jalan Baiduri Bulan, with a water height of 80 cm and about 30 cm left at night.

Furthermore, on Jalan Tanjung Lengkong, Gang Macan, the flood with a maximum water height of 85 cm gradually decreased to 25 cm at 20.00 WIB.

Ali ensured that the East Jakarta BPBD carried out monitoring and coordination with related agencies to ensure that the puddles immediately receded and minimized their impact on residents' activities.

"Follow up directly to the location, coordinate with the Kelurahan, RT and field officers, and monitor the development of water levels and the condition of drainage channels around the location," said Ali.

He also appealed to the public to remain vigilant against the potential for subsequent flooding, especially in flood-prone areas.
