JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) which allegedly dragged the Head of the North Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes on Friday, January 9 evening.

Eight people have been secured and are currently at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"Until now, the team has secured a total of eight parties," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Saturday, January 10.

"The parties will then be intensively examined at the Red and White KPK building," he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto revealed that the money found reached hundreds of millions of rupiah. "And there is also foreign exchange," he said in a separate statement.

After OTT, the KPK then has 1x24 hours to determine who the parties are charged with and the reasons. The official announcement will be made through a press conference.
