BLTS Rp900 Thousand Likely to Continue This Year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs opened the opportunity for the continuation of the Temporary Cash Direct Assistance (BLTS) of Rp. 900 thousand this year with the note of adjusting to the government's budget conditions and the direction of President Prabowo Subianto.

Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf explained that the BLTS was an initiative from the President to stimulate people's purchasing power late last year, and was temporary, which could be given again if the situation allowed.

"It could be (continued), we will see the situation and conditions as well as the policy of the President," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 9.

He argues that from the perspective of the allocation of government social assistance spending, which has increased, this shows that the fresh wind of assistance continues.

The Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed that it had disbursed more than Rp110 trillion for regular social assistance, social assistance thickening in June and July, and BLTS worth Rp900 for the last quarter (October, November, December) 2025.

Of the allocation, the Ministry of Social Affairs reported that it had reached 33.2 million KPM according to verified data.

He admitted that the accuracy of data for beneficiary families (KPM) would also be a key factor in determining the sustainability of the BLTS program, in addition to the readiness of the budget so that social assistance remains targeted and effective.

However, Saifullah ensured that the program continued to run for the distribution of regular social assistance, including the Family Hope Program (PKH) for approximately 10 million beneficiary families (KPM) and Non-cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for more than 17 million KPM.

"Regarding that, yes, for the 2026 quota, while still prioritizing the distribution of regular social assistance PKH and BPNT," he said.
