Police Warn Jackmania Not to Come to GBLA Bandung when Persija Meets Persib

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya appeals to The Jakmania, Persija Jakarta supporters, not to come to the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) in Bandung, West Java, to watch the Persib vs Persija match live on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

"We provide support, without coming to the stadium, in connection with the Persib vs Persija match on January 11, 2026 at the GBLA Stadium, Bandung," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto in his statement, Friday, January 9, 2026.

According to him, the appeal was based on the applicable regulations regarding the prohibition of the presence of away team supporters in away matches.

"This is in accordance with the regulation prohibiting away team supporters in away matches which are still in force and in order to maintain security and comfort together," said Budi.

Therefore, he also invited Persija supporters to continue to support their favorite team in a more mature, peaceful, and dignified way without having to come directly to the GBLA Stadium.

"Support the favorite team in a mature, peaceful, and dignified way for a safe and sportive Indonesian football," said Budi.

As is known, the 17th week of the BRI Super League is scheduled to start on Friday, January 9, 2026, including Persib Bandung's big match against Persija Jakarta.

The match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta was held at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 15.30 WIB, as quoted from I.League.

The match is sure to be intense and hot because both teams are competing at the top of the standings.

Persib Bandung is currently in 3rd place in the standings with 35 points from 16 matches, only losing by a goal difference to Persija Jakarta who are in 2nd place.

In addition, Persib Bandung also has ambitions to return to the winning track after last week only playing a draw at home to Persik Kediri.

On the other hand, Persija Jakarta is ambitious to continue the winning streak while looking for opportunities to rise to the top of the standings or at least maintain the 2nd position.
