JAKARTA - The body of a boy with the initials F (9), a resident of a village in Gegesik District, Cirebon Regency, West Java, was finally found on Friday, May 28.

The body was found by the joint SAR Team after being reported drowned in the Kumul Kuwista River.

"The joint SAR team found the victim 3 KM from the original scene dead," said the Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Bandung SAR Office, Supriono in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Friday night.

The victim was reported drowned on Thursday, May 27 yesterday. Witness testimony, shortly before the incident, the victim first cleaned his hands and cleaned his body with his colleagues.

Unfortunately, at that time F stumbled and fell into the river. "After it was discovered that the victim could not swim because he had polio and his hands could not be moved, local residents tried to help the victim but the victim was released and disappeared," he said.

He added that after searching for two days, the victim was found and his body was immediately taken to the funeral home to be buried.

For this reason, with the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was officially closed and then all SAR elements returned to their respective units.

"We have handed over the victim to his family and the SAR operation has been officially closed," he said.
