JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office will conduct a trial of one-way traffic system (SSA) arrangements on Jalan Salemba Tengah, Central Jakarta. The trial is scheduled to last for two weeks, starting Tuesday, January 6, 2026 to Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
"In connection with the implementation of the plan to test the one-way traffic system on Jalan Salemba Tengah Central Jakarta Administrative City, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Office will carry out traffic engineering," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office Syafrin Liputo in his statement, Monday, January 5.
This traffic engineering changes the pattern of vehicle movement on the Jalan Salemba Tengah section, which has been implemented in two directions.
During the trial period, traffic flow is only allowed to run in one direction from Jalan Salemba Raya to Jalan Percetakan Negara, Jalan Paseban Raya, and Jalan Pramuka Jati.
Meanwhile, vehicles from Jalan Pramuka Jati or Jalan Percetakan Negara towards Jalan Salemba Raya are directed to pass through Jalan Paseban Raya as an alternative route.
"Traffic on Jalan Salemba Tengah, which was originally 2 (two) directions, was changed to 1 direction, namely only for traffic flow from Jalan Salemba Raya to Jalan Percetakan Negara/Jalan Paseban Raya/Jalan Pramuka Jati," said Syafrin.
"Traffic from Pramuka Jati Street or State Printing Street to Salemba Raya Street can be through Paseban Raya Street then to Salemba Raya Street," he continued.
Syafrin appealed to road users to adapt to the traffic arrangements, comply with the signs installed, and follow the instructions of officers in the field during the trial period.
