JAYAPURA - The Papua High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has succeeded in returning state financial losses of IDR 38.062 billion from January to December 2025 through handling special criminal cases.

Assistant Intelligence of the Papua Attorney General, Yedivia Rum, said that this achievement was part of the law enforcement performance which showed significant results, especially in eradicating corruption in the Land of Papua.

"During 2025, we managed to return state financial losses of Rp. 38.62 billion from a number of corruption cases that have become legally binding," he said in Jayapura, Antara, Wednesday, December 31.

According to Yedivia, the return of state losses comes from handling several major cases, including the case of the construction of airport facilities and infrastructure at the Mimika Regency Public Works and Housing Service (PUPR) in the 2021 Fiscal Year.

"As well as the corruption case for the implementation of the National Sports Week (PON) in Papua Province," he said.

He explained that in addition to these achievements, his party also mentioned the performance of the Papua Attorney General throughout 2025 in general was positive and exceeded a number of targets that had been set.

"Throughout 2025 we have also completed 48 special criminal reports out of 53 complaint reports," he said.

He added that the handling of cases included 34 investigations, 26 investigations, 43 prosecutions, and 72 executions, with most cases successfully completed.
