"Today we carried out the transfer of the second phase of one suspect, who is the former Director of Kepahiang Hospital, after the case file was declared complete or P21," said Acting Head of Kepahiang District Prosecutor's Office, Nanda Hardika, in Kepahiang Regency, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.
He said the suspect was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter b, paragraph (2), and paragraph (3) of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. 1.
The suspect was also charged with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter b, paragraph (2), and paragraph (3) of the same law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
For his actions, the suspect Hulman August Erikson was detained for 20 days, starting from December 30, 2025 to January 18, 2026, at the Bengkulu Class IIB Detention House (Rutan).
According to Nanda, the detention was carried out for the sake of the prosecution and trial process at the Bengkulu District Court Corruption Crime Court.
Previously, the Kepahiang District Attorney's Office named the former Director of the Kepahiang Hospital as a suspect in alleged corruption in the procurement of UPS in the 2020 and 2021 fiscal years with a value of more than IDR 3.2 billion.

Nanda said the determination of the suspect was made after the Kejari Kepahiang special criminal investigation team obtained at least two valid evidence based on the results of the investigation.
"The suspect never carried out identification of needs, price surveys, or compiled his own estimated prices (HPS), so that as a result of his actions, two UPS units in the 2020 fiscal year and two UPS units in the 2021 fiscal year were damaged and could not be used," he said.
