JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared a number of private vehicle parking bags for the public who want to celebrate New Year's Eve on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-MH Thamrin to Blok M area and its surroundings.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo, said that the available parking lots were in the area of office buildings (off street) and shopping centers, as well as on the road (on street).

"There are 36 parking location points for the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration along Jalan Sudirman-Jalan MH. Thamrin and Jalan Panglima Polim with parking space units (SRP) of 21,132 motorcycle SRP, 22,306 car SRP and 182 bus SRP," said Syafrin in his statement, Tuesday, December 30.

"The first phase of the construction of the building is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022," said the company in a statement.

DKI Provincial Government will hold a New Year's Eve celebration in 2026 with 8 entertainment stages along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin and the Banteng Square area.

"The location of the stage is at MH Thamrin, Sarinah, HI roundabout, Dukuh Atas BNI 46, Semanggi, BEI/SCBD, FX Sudirman, and Lapangan Banteng," said Syafrin.

"We have prepared a number of alternative routes for people to cross," said Syafrin. Syafrin said that a number of roads that intersect with the New Year's Eve celebration point held by the DKI Provincial Government will also be closed. Syafrin appealed to road users to find alternative routes to cross.

48 Transjakarta bus routes that intersect with the location of the activities will carry out changes in operating patterns and track modifications during the arrangement and diversion of traffic flow in the context of a series of activities for the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration.

He explained, other public transportation modes managed by the DKI Provincial Government such as the Jakarta MRT and the Jakarta LRT will operate with an extension of time during the New Year's Eve celebrations 2026.

"The operation of the Jakarta MRT on the New Year's Eve celebration of 2026 on December 31, 2025, starts at 05.00 WIB until January 1, 2026 at 02.00 WIB with a flat headway of 10 minutes, except from 00.00-01.00 headway 5 minutes," explained Syafrin.

"The operation of the Jakarta LRT on the New Year's Eve celebration of 2026 on December 31, 2025 starts at 05.30 WIB until January 1, 2026 at 02.00 WIB with a flat headway of 10 minutes," he said.

"We appeal to the public who will attend the New Year's Eve 2026 celebration activities on Jalan M.H Thamrin-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-Lapangan Banteng-Jalan Panglima Polim and at tourist destinations, to use public transportation to minimize traffic density around the activity area," said Syafrin.
