The Ethics Trial of Brigadier Rizka, the Suspect in the Murder of Her Husband, Is Waiting for the Judge's Verdict

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police stated that the Police Ethics Commission hearing of Brigadier Rizka Sintiani regarding the alleged murder of her husband, who is also a member of the police, namely Brigadier Esco Faska Rely, is still awaiting a criminal verdict through a public trial from the district court (PN).

"The trial process will be through propam. We are waiting for the results (public trial), what the verdict is like. After that, we will see whether PTDH (termination not with honor) or not," said Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Mohammad Kholid in Mataram, Monday, December 29, reported by ANTARA.

For the needs of the ethics trial, Kombes Kholid explained that the NTB Police Propam Unit was still conducting a series of examinations to complete the file.

"The files still have to be completed first," he said.

Regarding the murder case of Brigadier Esco, the police are currently holding Brigadier Rizka at the NTB Police Dittahti Detention Center.

Brigadier Rizka was detained separately with four other suspects from the murder case of Brigadier Esco, namely at the West Lombok Police Detention Center.

The detention of Brigadier General Rizka at the NTB Police Dittahti Detention Center is to facilitate the process of examination by propam investigators related to violations of the Polri code of ethics.

The West Lombok Police as investigators of the murder case of Brigadier General Esco have received the statement of the investigator prosecutor of the case file belonging to five suspects, including Brigadier General Rizka's.

Director of Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Syarif Hidayat, said that the current stage of handling was waiting for the readiness of investigators with the public prosecutor for the transfer of suspects and evidence or in legal terms known as the second stage.

"The second phase is requested to be completed by the new year, information from the coordination of investigators and prosecutors is like that," he said.

This was also confirmed by the Mataram District Attorney's Office. Head of the Intelligence Section of the Mataram District Attorney's Office, Harun Al Rasyid

said the files belonging to the five suspects who have been P-21 or declared complete are now waiting for the implementation of the second phase next week which has entered the beginning of 2026.

The five suspects in this case, besides Brigadier Rizka who is the wife of the deceased, are his closest people, namely Paozi, a friend of Brigadier Esco, Amaq Saiun, the first person to find the body of Brigadier Esco who is also a close relative of Brigadier Rizka.

The other two suspects are Amaq Saiun's wife, Nuraini, and Brigadier General Rizka's half-brother, Deni.

The role of the four suspects other than Brigadier General Rizka in this case was revealed from the results of the reconstruction of the case. The evidence of involvement in the murder case became the basis for the police to establish four additional suspects.
