6 young people were arrested by members of the Central Jakarta Metro Police while carrying out a brawl in the Cilosari Street area, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

The six perpetrators are known to have initials RP (19), DI (22), AS (27), MS (23), ADG (29), and AR (20). The perpetrators were then taken to the Metro Menteng Police Station to undergo further examination and legal proceedings.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, the police also seized evidence of two sharp weapons of the celurit type, three mobile phones, and three motorcycles used by the suspected perpetrators.

The three motorbikes were Honda Genio with the police number B 3617 PKN, Honda Beat with the police number B 3764 PEH, and Yamaha Mio without a police number.

Head of the Jakarta Central Metro Police, Kombes Susatyo Condro Purnomo, said the perpetrator was arrested after there were reports from the community.

"We will continue to increase patrol intensity, especially at vulnerable hours. As soon as there is a potential for kamtibmas disruption, personnel will immediately act quickly to prevent acts of violence," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Monday, December 29, 2025.

The Police Chief said that the Perintis Presisi Jaga Jakarta patrol activity was a preventive and repressive step to prevent fights and street crimes in the Central Jakarta area.

"We carry out the Precision Pioneer Patrol to Guard Jakarta regularly, especially during vulnerable hours. We are committed to maintaining the safety and comfort of the community from the potential of fights and other kamtibmas disturbances," he said.

The Police Chief also appealed for the active role of families, especially parents, to monitor their children's social interactions.

"We invite parents to supervise and protect their children, do not let them go out at night without supervision. Direct children to positive activities for their future," he said.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning the possession of sharp weapons without rights, with a threat of a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
