JAKARTA - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has disbursed special allowances worth Rp32 billion for 16,467 educators and education personnel (PTK) who were affected by disasters in four provinces, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and East Java.
The Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said the distribution was carried out gradually, starting from December 2025 to February 2026, to ensure that education services continue to run even though they are in an emergency situation.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Suharti, said that this effort was a manifestation of concern for the suffering of PTK affected by the disaster.
"The end of the year, which for some people can be enjoyed warmly with joy of gathering with family, but now it is a very worrying moment for our brothers, especially educators and education workers in several locations affected by disasters," he said.
Therefore, he continued, as a form of concern from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the special allowance was distributed to ease the burden of disaster survivors.
"Hopefully, the assistance of concern at the end of this year can be an encouragement and mark the presence of the government to continue to be with our brothers and sisters through this recovery period with full faith in God and a sense of optimism," he said.
He said the number of PTK affected by each level and the amount of assistance was for the PAUD level, there were 915 educators who were affected and received a total of Rp. 1.8 billion in assistance.
For the basic education level, his party noted that the number of educators affected by the disaster reached 10,274 people with the amount of assistance provided amounting to Rp. 20.5 billion.
Meanwhile, for the secondary education level, the number of educators affected was 5,258 people with assistance provided of Rp. 10.5 billion, while the number of teaching staff affected was 20 people.
As for education personnel, he said that as many as three people in Aceh Province and 17 others in West Sumatra Province received assistance of Rp2 million each.
