JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has facilitated the implementation of Christmas worship for Christian prisoners on the Christmas Day 2025. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that Christmas worship will be held at the KPK Branch Detention House, Red and White Building, South Jakarta, on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

One of those who will be recorded to attend the service is former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer, who is now a defendant in the case of extortion of occupational safety and health certificates (K3).

"In the context of the celebration of Christmas Day in 2025, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) facilitated the implementation of worship for prisoners of the Christian faith," said Budi in his statement, Wednesday, December 24.

The implementation of the worship is scheduled to take place at 14.00 WIB until it is completed and carried out in the KPK detention center's face-to-face area. Currently, there are 12 inmates who will participate in this year's Christmas worship.

In addition to facilitating worship, the KPK also opened the opportunity for visits by the families and relatives of the detainees on the same day. Visitation hours are scheduled from morning until before the performance of worship.

"Previously, the KPK also gave the opportunity for the families and relatives of the detainees to be able to visit the KPK Detention Center from 10.00 to 13.00 WIB," he said.

Budi emphasized that all activities, both worship and visits, were still carried out by referring to the rules of management of the KPK detention center. There is no special treatment outside the applicable provisions.

According to Budi, the KPK is obliged to ensure that this right is still respected even though the legal process is ongoing.

"This facilitation of worship and special visits is a form of respect for the basic rights of every religious person, including for KPK detainees," said Budi.

He added that the policy was in line with the principles of the implementation of the duties and powers of the KPK as stipulated in Article 5 of Law Number 19 of 2019, including legal certainty and respect for human rights.
