While Charging His Phone, a Man in Bali Died from an Electric Current Shock

BULELENG - A man with the initials PPAS (49) was found dead inside his room in Kalibukbuk Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali.

The victim is suspected of dying from being electrocuted while charging his cellphone. The victim is also known to be a local resident living alone.

"It is suspected that the victim was electrocuted while charging," said Head of Public Relations of Buleleng Police, Iptu Yohana Roasalin Diaz, Tuesday, December 23.

From the testimony of the witness with the initials MS, the witness was called by his sister who explained that the victim had not left his room for two days.

The witness then went to the crime scene and saw the victim's room locked.

Furthermore, the witness climbed up and tried to see from the ventilation gap of the room which at that time had smelled bad from inside the victim's room. The door was also broken.

"After successfully opening the room, the witness and the family saw that the victim was already lifeless with the position of the victim's body lying on its back with its head facing east," he added.

Furthermore, the victim's body was examined by the Puskemas ll Buleleng medical team.

Based on the examination of the medical team, no signs of violence were found on the victim's body. However, there were blisters on several parts of the body.

When found, the victim was still holding a mobile phone connected to a charger and an electrical plug.

"The victim's family accepted the victim's death. And the family refused to conduct an autopsy on the victim's body," he said.
