JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing a New Year's Eve celebration event in 2026 by placing a number of stages in various regions. As in previous years, this stage will feature various entertainment that will enliven the New Year's Eve.
"The location of the 2026 New Year celebration is planned for 14 entertainment stages along Jalan MH Thamrin-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Satriadi Gunawan in his statement, Thursday, December 18.
A total of 10 entertainment points will also be held in each city/district of the Jakarta administration. The details are at the Jakarta Central Mayor's Office, Mall Artha Gading North Jakarta, the Jakarta West Mayor's Office, and the Old City Area.

During the Christmas and New Year celebrations, Satpol PP deployed 4,296 personnel to carry out security.
"The number of security personnel for the Christmas celebration in 2025 is 2,061 people. The number of security personnel for the New Year celebration in 2026 is 1,692 people," said Satriadi.
This security is also carried out at 574 churches in Jakarta that carry out worship on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on December 24-25, 2025.
"In carrying out Christmas security, Satpol PP collaborates with the ranks of the National Police, TNI and the potential of the community, both mass organizations and RT/RW," said Satriadi.
Satriadi said that the Christmas and New Year moments were often followed by a surge in citizen mobility, religious activities, and crowds in public spaces. This condition requires the readiness of the police so that the situation in Jakarta remains safe and conducive.

In addition, we are also expected to be able to detect potential disturbances of security, peace and order and anticipate any threats that may arise," said Satriadi.
