BADUNG - The Bali joint SAR team evacuated a teenage girl under a river bridge or Tukad Ngongkong, Sulangai Village, Petang District, Badung Regency, Bali.

The 13-year-old middle school student was evacuated because he was suspected of attempting suicide because he was often bullied.

"It is suspected of attempted suicide on the Tukad Ngongkong Bridge," said PS Kasubsipenmas Sihumas Badung Police, Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, Tuesday, December 16.

From the statement of the victim's father with the initials IWR, on Tuesday (16/12), at around 10.00 WITA, his daughter went to school and said goodbye to her mother.

However, at around 13.00 WITA, the victim did not give a message to the parents about the plan to travel after school. The victim also could not be contacted.

"The victim left using a motorcycle wearing school clothes, blue skirt and black T-shirt," he added.

Meanwhile, a witness who happened to be near the location, admitted to hearing a call for help. It turned out that the teenager was already under the cliff.

"Furthermore, the witness contacted Bhabinkamtibmas to get help," he said.

The SAR team, which received the report, rushed to provide assistance. The young girl was successfully evacuated in a safe condition and taken to the Petang I Health Center for treatment.

"The victim's condition is in a state of being able to speak well. However, it is recommended to consult a psychiatrist. The victim's physical condition only has abrasions on the right eyelid, right cheek and left thigh," he said.

From the statement of the female teenager, she tried to commit suicide by jumping into Tukad Ngongkong because she felt ashamed of being bullied often.

"The victim attempted suicide by jumping into Tukad Ngongkong. Because he was ashamed of his friends at school, where the victim was often bullied at school related to the circulation of the victim's video," said Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti

"The suicide attempt started from a problem experienced by the victim, allegedly bullied by a friend at school who could not be resolved and felt depressed. So, the victim attempted suicide at the Tukad Ngongkong Bridge," he continued.
