Murderer of a Lawyer from Banyumas Intends to Take Control of the Victim's Car to Repay Debt

SEMARANG - Police say two suspects in the alleged premeditated murder of a Banyumas-based lawyer, Aris Munadi, have the motive to want to control the victim's car, which will then be sold to pay off debts.

Cilacap Police Chief Kombes Budi Adhy said the two suspects, initials S (43) and IJ (36), were brothers from Cilacap Regency.

"The victim knew the perpetrator about a month ago," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 15.

The revelation of the two perpetrators of the premeditated murder began with the examination of a number of witnesses who were known to have met the victim.

"There are four witnesses who have been examined, two of whom we have upgraded to suspects," he continued.

The murder incident began when the victim Aris Mudani said goodbye to his wife to go to Jeruklegi area, Cilacap Regency. on November 21.

After three days, the victim did not return home and his wife could not be contacted.

The victim's wife, said the police chief, then reported her husband's disappearance to the police.

The police conducted a search for the people who were met by the victim when saying goodbye.

"The victim said goodbye to his wife and went to a pilgrimage in Jeruklegi," he said.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim was executed by suspect S at the pilgrimage site on November 22, 2025. The victim's body was then buried in the Alas Kubangkaung area in Cilacap Regency by S with the help of his younger brother IJ.

Budi revealed that the death of the victim Aris Munadi was a premeditated murder with an economic motive, not related to the case he was handling.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder or Article 338 concerning murder.
