Deputy Governor Ingkong said the construction of the BLK was an urgent need, so that local workers were ready to compete and be able to fill the needs of the industry and the National Strategic Project (PSN) which was running in Kaltara.
"In Kaltara, there are already several strategic projects that are currently underway. Therefore, we must prepare skilled and competent local workers so that the community gets direct benefits from this strategic project," said Ingkong, Friday, December 12.
Ingkong revealed, to realize the BLK, the North Kalimantan Provincial Government has prepared a five-hectare land in Tanjung Selor as a construction site.
"For the land, it has been prepared so that the construction of the BLK can be carried out quickly in 2026," he said.
Ingkong explained that the presence of BLK will be a vocational training center aimed at strengthening the quality of local workers in various industrial sectors, starting from energy, infrastructure, to national strategic projects in Kaltara.
"The Kaltara Provincial Government is targeting BLK to become a motor for increasing the competence of local workers and increasing their chances of being absorbed in this large industrial that is developing on the Earth of the Continent," he said.
