KPK Confiscates Money To Noble Metals Related To OTT Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated money in rupiah denominations and precious metals during a hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya and four other people. The findings were obtained when the team moved in the field on December 9-10 yesterday.

"That in this activity, apart from securing five people, the team also secured evidence in rupiah and also precious metals in gold," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 11.

Budi explained that his party had conducted a case title or exposure and named a suspect. However, the official announcement will be made this afternoon.

"Including the details of his arrest, where we will explain the location later in the press conference," he said.

Ardito arrived at the KPK office on Wednesday night, December 10 at around 20.10 WIB. He wore a dark patterned jacket and his head was wearing a hat.

Ardito was seen being escorted by a number of KPK security officers. He also brought a dark blue suitcase.

"Alhamdulillah, he is healthy," Ardito told reporters at the location.

As previously reported, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Fitroh Rohcahyanto, confirmed that his party had arrested Ardito in the OTT event since the beginning of the week. It is suspected that money had been given.
