JAKARTA - Investigators from the Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated a luxury housing unit belonging to the former village head of Tamainusi AH worth IDR 1.2 billion in Makassar City, South Sulawesi.
"AHdisita's house is investigated by investigators in the CSRT case. The value of the house on the purchase receipt is IDR 1.2 billion," said Head of the Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office, La Ode Abdul Sofian, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 10.
Previously, investigators also confiscated the assets of the former village head in North Morowali Regency for the 2021-2025 period which was worth billions of rupiah.
Investigators conducted a search at the Tamainusi Village Office and the house of the former Tamainusi Village Head, as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in the use of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
The funds came from several mining companies operating in the Tamainusi Village area, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency.
During the series of searches, investigators found and confiscated a number of pieces of evidence suspected of being related to the case, including dozens of land certificates in the name of AH, three excavators, one unit of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, one unit of Missubishi Triton Double Cabin, one unit of Mitsibishi Triton Single Cabin, one unit of Mercedes-Benz car, six units of motorcycles, cash amounting to Rp50,550,000, and various documents and other documents.
"The state has become a victim. What has been confiscated from the state must be saved. This is the law enforcement of progressive corruption," said Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Assistant for Special Crimes Salahuddin in Palu, Wednesday (11/25).
Salahuddin revealed that the investigation was carried out openly, not a silent operation. The increase in the status of the case made prosecutors obliged to carry out a series of forced actions, including searches, confiscations, and tracking of assets.
The Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office stated that this search was a further step from the ongoing investigation. Further developments will be conveyed after the examination and verification of the evidence is complete.
