BONDOWOSO - Bondowosome Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said dozens of houses scattered in three villages were damaged by falling trees after previously in the area heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.

Acting (Plt) Head of BPBD Bondowoso Regency Kristianto Putro Prasojo said as many as 19 houses affected by strong winds were scattered in Prajekan Lor Village, Walidono Village, and Tarum Village, Prajekan District.

"Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in the late afternoon caused a number of trees to fall and hit dozens of residents' houses," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 10.

After local BPBD officers received information about the incident, they conducted an assessment and evacuated fallen trees that hit residents' houses and those that closed village road access.

Dozens of houses spread across the three villages, he continued, mostly suffered minor damage due to fallen trees.

"Alhamdulillah, BPBD officers have evacuated fallen trees that hit people's houses," said Kristianto. last week, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds also caused 82 houses in seven villages in two sub-districts to be destroyed, namely Jambesari, Sumberjeruk, Tegalpasir, and Pocanganum in Jambesari District, as well as in Mengok and Sukorkerto villages in Pujer District.
