Most Of The Mayors, Agustina Raises 2,354 Mid-Time PPPK, Strengthens Semarang City Public Services

SEMARANG - Pemerintah Kota atau Pemkot Semarang resmi mengangkat 2.354 Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) Tidak Waktu dalam Apelah di Halaman Balai Kota, Rabu (11/12). Langkah besar ini menjadi strategi Wali Kota Semarang, Agustina Wilujeng, untuk memperkuat foundation pelayanan publik sekaligus menyelesaikan masalah tenaga honorer non-ASN sesuai kebutuhan lapangan.

In his remarks, Agustina emphasized that this appointment was not just a fulfillment of formations, but part of efforts to strengthen public services as a whole. "Through the inauguration of functional officials and the appointment of 2,354 middle-aged PPPKs, we are strengthening the big family of Semarang City Government which ensures that Semarang City public services stand tall," said Agustina.

The appointment this time consisted of 1,982 technical personnel, 372 functional staff, 11 health workers, and 361 teachers, with a work period of one year and can be extended until it is appointed as a full PPPK. The employees will start serving on January 1, 2026.

Agustina also emphasized that the city of Semarang is one of the few regions that still provides space for the Mid-Time PPPK scheme without cutting employee rights. Even the appointment of 2,354 PPPKs is the largest. "All of you must be grateful because the Mid-Time PPPK in Semarang City is the largest, when in other areas this scheme has actually been stopped. In other areas, there is a middle-aged PPPK with the amount of salary below the UMK and there is even a difference in the number of salaries between OPDs," he said.

He added that the Semarang City Government actually wanted to show partiality and trust. This trust, said Agustina, is a two-way relationship that demands moral and professional responsibility from all employees. He also asked the PPPK ranks to work seriously, maintain professionalism, and uphold integrity.

Part-time positions do not mean part-time commitment. Competency must continue to be honed, work standards must be maintained, and public services must not decrease in quality", said Agustina.

Agus Setiawan, one of the appointed Mid-Time PPPKs, said he was relieved that he had served the Semarang City Government for two decades. "Hopefully next year I can be appointed as a full-time PPPK." he hoped. (ADV)
