KPK Fires 51 Of Its Employees When Deputy Crackdown Lacks 100 People

JAKARTA - Deputy Of Crackdown and Execution of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Karyoto said it takes the addition of people in his deputy. He even mentioned that it took an additional 100 people in the deputy crackdown.

However, this turned around with the attitude of the KPK which fired 51 employees effectively starting November 1. Dozens of these people were those who failed the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) and were disabled.

"Look, actually before there was this event (dismissal, red), the slot of adding investigators in the crackdown was still a hundred in the deputy crackdown," Karyoto said in a press conference that aired on kpk ri's YouTube account, Tuesday, May 25.

This need, he continued, has actually been proposed for a long time. The hundreds of people needed consisted of investigators, investigators, fugitive search teams, and other parts of the crackdown division.

"Because all this time that became a problem when the list of people searches (DPO) overloaded, so this case is slow," said Karyoto.

Karyoto said there would be difficulties if some of the 51 employees fired were from the enforcement division. So he hopes the KPK leadership can find the right solution.

"Now the issue of who wants to be an investigator there is more policy from the leadership and the secretary general, I do not wonder," he said.

If there is a shortage of people in the deputy crackdown due to the dismissal of dozens of employees then the step taken by the KPK is to ask investigators from other agencies such as the Attorney General's Office and the police. Moreover, the two agencies have often been contacted by kpk to meet the additional needs of investigators.

"Most of us have the path we ask the prosecutor to the investigators, to prepare only if at any time there are more recruits," he said.

Previously reported, KPK has held a coordination meeting to discuss the fate of 75 employees who failed the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) and were disabled. In addition to the KPK and the State Personnel Agency (BKN), the meeting was also attended by Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly and MenPANRB Tjahjo Kumolo.

As a result, 51 KPK employees out of a total of 75 employees who did not qualify TWK were confirmed fired from their jobs. While 24 employees are still possible coaching.

The National Insight Test (TWK) was attended by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 were declared eligible.
