Drivers Asked To Find Other Routes Impact Of The Banjarbaru Line Batulicin Closed By Landslide

BANJARMASIN - Jalan Bypass Banjarbaru Batulicin, South Kalimantan, was paralyzed again after being covered by landslide material from the Bukit Papua area on Wednesday at around 06.13 WITA.

Previously, since Monday, December 8, this route has been flooded due to high rainfall. Land and rock material was seen closing completely the road so that the flow of vehicles from two directions could not pass.

Head of the Banjar BPBD Emergency and Logistics Division, Yayan Daryanto, confirmed the incident.

"It's true, our team is still conducting assessments in the field. For the location around Bukit Papua. We are still coordinating with related agencies," he said in Banjarmasin, Antara, Wednesday, December 10.

According to a temporary report by the BPBD team in the field, there were no casualties due to the landslide.

"From the temporary report there were no casualties," said Yayan.

Acting Head of the South Kalimantan Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR), M. Yasin Toyib, confirmed that his party had deployed an emergency handling team.

"We will handle it immediately. Our tool is already in Bukit Papua and we immediately shifted it to the landslide location," he said.

Petugas BPBD, Dinas PUPR, dan kepolisian telah berada di lokasi untuk melakukan penanganan.

Arus kendaraan masih tertahan, dan pengguna jalan diminta memilih jalur alternatif hingga proses pembersihan selesai.

BPBD officers, the PUPR Service, and the police are already at the location to carry out the handling.

The flow of vehicles is still stuck, and road users are asked to choose an alternative route until the cleaning process is complete.
