TNI Soldiers Walk Through Landslide Areas Bringing Drugs To Residents

JAKARTA - TNI AD Health Personnel from Brigif TP 90/Yudha Giri Dhanu and Yonif TP 854/Dharma Kersaka Kodam Iskandar Muda walked through the landslide site to provide health services to disaster victims in Central Aceh.

In a press release reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 9, the soldiers walked to Pameu Village and Lut Jaya Village, Rusip Antara District, Central Aceh.

Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Donny Pramon said the soldiers walked because the lane could not be passed by vehicles.

He said, on foot, it would be easier for personnel to reach isolated and difficult to reach.

"Health personnel show high dedication during the long journey to ensure essential drugs such as antibiotics, diarrhea drugs, vitamins, skin diseases, and other public medicines can be immediately used to help residents who experience post-disaster health problems," said Donny.

In addition to bringing medicines, Donny said the health team also provided live services at locations such as basic health checks, medical consultations, and education on disease prevention that were prone to appearing in emergency situations such as ARI, diarrhea, and skin infections.

"This service really helps residents who have been isolated in the last few days without the presence of medical personnel," said Donny.

Donny ensured that his soldiers would continue to be placed in locations to provide free health services.

With this effort, Donny hopes that the isolated landslide victims in Aceh can continue to survive with the health assistance they provide.
