KPK Chairman Reveals There Is A Regency That Is Trying An Integrity Survey

YOGYAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto revealed that there are areas that are trying to outsmart the implementation of the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI).

This was conveyed when Setyo announced the national SPI in 2025 when the Peak of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2025 at the Yogyakarta Kepatihan Complex today, December 9. He said that one of the districts was caught disclosing the results of the survey even though this process should not be carried out.

Setyo said the prevention of the integrity survey was carried out by giving instructions to the ranks. "Finally (SPI) the score is good," continued Setyo.

Despite trying to outsmart, Setyo said, this practice was later discovered by his institution. "We have tools, there are tools that can measure this, whether it's true or not," said the former Director of KPK Investigation.

"Then we compare it with the participation documents, we conclude that these are tricks. After we explore it, it turns out that it is true, there is a creation of conditions to be able to make the score in one area good."

As for this year, the SPI score has increased to 72.32 from last year's 71.53 mark. He said the results were still vulnerable because it meant that corruption was still there.

Meanwhile, Acting Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Aminuddin said SPI was carried out in the period August 1-31 October 2025. There are 657 ministries, institutions, SOEs, and local governments included in this activity.

"The participation involves various perspectives, ranging from internal agencies, service users, to experts and stakeholders with a total of 837,693 respondents," Aminuddin concluded.
