One Year of Prabowo–Gibran Administration, FPIR Says Democracy and Police Are Growing Stronger

JAKARTA - The Greater Indonesia Youth Front (FPIR) explained the achievements of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka throughout 2025. FPIR assessed that various pro-people programs were running massively, while highlighting the government's efforts to protect the National Police as a civil institution through reforms led by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The General Chairperson of FPIR, Fauzan Ohorella, conveyed this in a statement entitled 'Prabowo' Gibran Strengthens Democracy & Polri as a Civil Representative' in the Kalibata area, Jakarta, Friday, December 5. He assessed that the Prabowo 'Gibran government shows concrete performance in improving the welfare of the community.

The Asta Cita program has shown the real performance of the Prabowo 'Gibran government for one year. This can be seen from the massive people's school programs for the education of the nation's children and the improvement of nutrition through Free Nutrition Food to toddlers," said Fauzan.

He said the Prabowo 'Gibran government succeeded in strengthening democracy by embracing various elements of society. According to him, Prabowo's sensitive leadership character and Gibran's humbleness are important factors in maintaining healthy political communication.

This is a real portrait of how the Prabowo 'Gibran government continues to care for and strengthen Indonesia's democratic system. We see this as an important momentum for improving the system at various levels," he said.

One of the achievements highlighted by FPIR is the effort to protect the National Police as a civilian representation. Fauzan assessed that Polri reform is running through a cultural approach based on the Precision concept.

"The position of the National Police Chief must be a spirit of improvement for the institution. This reform reorganizes ethics, humanism, and the professionalism of law enforcement of the Police," said Fauzan.

He also assessed that the formation of the National Police Reform Committee by President Prabowo was a step for the state to make comprehensive improvements. Therefore, according to him, the committee must work objectively and strategicly in order to be able to produce policies that are truly in line with the mandate of reform.

The people are the biological fathers of reform. The committee must use the interests of the people as a basis for policy. Improvements require a comprehensive view, both on the welfare, morals, and ethics of Polri members," he said.

Fauzan emphasized that the National Police must continue to show their identity as a civil institution born from the spirit of reform. According to him, maintaining the independence and professionalism of the National Police is the key to the sustainability of Indonesian democracy.

On the same occasion, University of Jaya Baya University Lecturer of Constitutional Law, Rorano, assessed that President Prabowo gave a firm signal in eradicating KKN which was considered to be the root of structural poverty.

President Prabowo's policy of building 300 bridges in remote parts of Indonesia is a lamp for the future of the nation's generation. This is a concrete manifestation that the state must always be present in building Indonesia Raya," said Rorano.
