Disaster In Sumatra, Golkar Intervenes: Bahlil Distributes IDR 3 Billion For Emergency Handling

PALANGKARAYA - Chairman of the Golkar Party Bahlil Lahadalia expressed his deep condolences for the casualties in the floods and landslides that hit Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Interviewed after the opening of the XI Regional Conference of the Central Kalimantan Golkar Party in Palangka Raya, Saturday, November 29, Bahlil invited all Golkar cadres throughout Indonesia to move quickly, help each other, and directly accompany the affected residents.

"From regional reports, the Golkar Party around the affected areas has helped deal with disasters," said Bahlil.

He added, "From this place, I express my condolences for the death of our brothers and sisters in several areas, yes, in West Sumatra, then in North Sumatra and Aceh due to landslides".

In front of journalists, Bahlil emphasized the commitment of the Golkar Party DPP to work together to help the victims by providing funds of Rp. 3 billion as initial support for disaster management efforts in the three provinces. He emphasized that this assistance is fast, coordinated, and focuses on the most urgent needs of the community in the field.

Bahlil also called for all Golkar Party offices in various regions to be used as assistance posts. In addition to raising logistical donations, party offices are also asked to be ready to coordinate volunteers if needed to strengthen the handling of emergency situations in their respective areas.

He closed his appeal by emphasizing that mutual cooperation is the basic value of the Golkar Party which must be realized in real terms, especially when people are facing great difficulties due to disasters. This is the time for us to be present for the people, to help with all our abilities. Let's revive the spirit of mutual cooperation," said Bahlil.
